Contractor Website Score

Terms

Contractor Website Score gives you an estimate of a public web page. By using it, you agree to the limits below. If you do not, don’t submit a URL.

The score is an estimate

The number comes from HTML heuristics listed on the how-it-works page. It is not a Lighthouse audit, not a measurement of load time, not a Google ranking, and not a forecast of calls or revenue. A high score can still be a weak sales page. A low score can still belong to a busy company. We will not invent a metric the checker did not compute.

What you can submit

Submit pages you are allowed to request. The usual case is your own site, or a public page you are comparing in the open. Do not use the tool to probe private networks, to overload someone else’s site, or to pull down anything that is not a normal public web page. We block local and private addresses, and we may refuse a URL that does not look like a public website.

Modern Websites is optional

The calls to action point at Modern Websites. Looking at a score does not hire them. Their offer, if you take the demo, is the one published on their site: contractor websites, priced and scoped there. This tool does not change that contract.

No warranty

The site is provided as-is. Pages on the internet change, block downloads, or hide their content in JavaScript. A failed fetch means we did not score it. We are not liable for decisions you make from the report, including hiring or not hiring a web company.
